Hi Hurricane Families,
It’s finally happening! Our time trial will be held on August 7th at the Zatzman Sportsplex. Warmup will begin at 8:00am and our first heat will start at approximately 8:20am. We have a hard out at noon.
The age group athletes (Groups 1 – 3) will be doing their longest freestyle and their longest IM races as well as 3 others that the athlete may choose. The races they can choose from are:

Age is determined as of June 30th
Our participation athletes (Group 4) will be doing a 50 free to determine if they reach the qualifying time of 55 seconds. If they do happen to reach the target of 55 seconds, they will qualify to race in the 100 IM. A successful time in the IM with correct stroke is how we determine if an athlete graduates into age group swimming. They may also choose 3 of 25 Fly, 25 Back, 25 Breast or 25 Free to swim during the time trial.
Deadline for Submissions
Please let us know by Sunday at 7:00pm. If we don’t have your selection by then, the coaches will make the decision. If you or your athletes are unsure which events to choose, the coaches can make that decision for you. Your submissions are to go to chh.headcoach@gmail.com.
**Please also let us know if your athlete(s) will not be attending the time trial as it will affect scheduling
Officials
Please let me (Jason) know if you are planning to be an official for the time trial and in what capacity. Note that only registered officials will be allowed on the deck during the trial and there is unfortunately no spectator space, so this is the best way to see your athletes in the pool. I’ve included the registration form and information about online officials training along with this email if you’d like to register. Please let me know if you do.

Winter Swimmers
Our athletes who are enrolled in winter swimming can participate in the trial but as an exhibition swimmer only and their times will not count.
